An Introduction to Different Meditation Techniques with Janice Cole, Tranquil Thyme

During periods of quiet meditation our brain waves slow down, helping us to feel calmer and more in control of our life.  Eventually in this quiet space we can find answers to the problems that are causing us stress, and as we begin to feel less anxious, we start to release tensions held in the body.  Meditation can help to lessen:  - stress; aches and pains; headaches and migraines, and ultimately we enjoy more restful sleep and better long-term health.

There are many different meditation techniques, and it is important to find the styles that suit you best to aid your regular practice.

It is certainly not a case of ‘one style fits all’.

Come and spend a fun morning at the Axminster Health and Wellbeing Centre and learn some of the many meditation styles available.

Experience a walking meditation in the Centre’s newly created sensory garden.

This is for people who are in receipt of a low income/ benefits/ in financial difficulty and suffering from any of the following conditions:

  • anxiety or low mood
  • pain
  • or for people who are waiting for surgery

Patients who register will be offered up to 4 appointments at just £5 per appointment. (This is incredible value for money as usually a private appointment would cost near £50 per visit)

Patricia Moroney RSHom and Jacquie Haylet RSHom will be running the clinic - you will generally be seen by the same homeopath for all of your appointments.
